Let your call follow you to another number
Call Forwarding allows you to direct all your incoming calls to another number. You can forward calls to your voice mail or to another number where you can be reached or where someone can answer your calls for you.
Advantages & Benefits
- Have callers reach you the first time without trying many different numbers.
- Flexibility to forward calls from a remote location.
- Easy to activate, deactivate and change Call Forwarding from any touch tone phone.

How it works:
You can program your calls to ring at another number. Each time a call is forwarded, your phone will make one short ring. Your phone can still be used to make outgoing calls. To turn on Call Forwarding:
- Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
Press *72 (Rotary phone dial 1172.)
- Listen for the dial tone.
- Dial the number you want your calls forwarded to.
If the line is busy or there’s no answer:
- Hang up.
- Within 2 minutes, repeat steps 1 – 4 above. You will hear a confirmation tone to let you know your Call Forwarding is now working.
To turn off Call Forwarding:
- Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
Press *73 (Rotary phone dial 1173.)
- Listen for the confirmation tone then hang up. Your Call Forwarding is now off and calls will ring normally on your phone.
To change the “forward to” number”:
- Turn off Call Forwarding.
- Repeat steps 1 – 6 above to turn on call Forward, entering the new “forward to” number.
Note: Dial the number exactly as if you are calling directly. For a local number, dial the 7-digit phone number. For a ling distance number, dial “1” plus the area code. Or if you have speed calling, you may dial one of your codes instead.
